About Brightside Cleaning

Hi I am Shane Pollard, and I founded Brightside Commercial Cleaning with my wife Katie. We are a professional husband and wife team, based in Rockingham and servicing the South West region and Perth metro area.

We started Brightside cleaning to create a business that we could be proud of, and to build a service people would look forward to recieving from our team of experienced cleaners. because we became frustrated watching businesses pay for cleaning services that were inconsistent, unreliable and impossible to communicate with.

For more than 20 years we’ve worked around commercial facilities, I started my first services business providing cleaning, gardening, security access and pool care to strata complexes back in 2008.
Since then Ive built, bought and managed many businesses servicing government and commercial contracts and know one thing never changes: Businesses want cleaners who show up, communicate properly, have the right equipment and leave the building cleaner than they found it.

That’s exactly what we do.

Why Brightside Exists

We started this business because good organisations deserve cleaning partners they can trust. Our goal is to create a name associated with a certain level of service often not associated with cleaning companies.

We are a tech enabled cleaning business. We don’t use Excel sheets and email to run our cleaning business. Our team operates on a custom platform (ConnecTeam + proprietary MCP/APIs) that delivers our work site time clocks, Geofence zones, per-site digital checklists, live SOP updates pushed to all staff when compliance or safety standards change, and transparent work logging. You see exactly who was on your site, when, and what was completed. No guesswork. 

Outbreak Response Speed You Can Count On

The industry average is 5–7 days. We do it in 48 hours (metro) or 72 hours (regional). Our team has documented 6 gastro outbreak responses with consistent 48-hour turnarounds. This isn’t theoretical, we have done it, and the people who executed those responses now supply our main equipment and staff our core operations.

Biohazard + Meth Testing In-House (No Subcontracting)

We coordinate NATA-accredited meth testing directly; you don’t wait for a third party to call a lab. We handle sampling, partner liaison, and certified results. Outbreak response is handled entirely by our team with published protocols you can audit.
