What Does Industrial Warehouse Cleaning Include?
Industrial warehouse cleaning is scheduled cleaning of the operational floor and its amenities, built around shift patterns and forklift movement rather than around a standard office routine. The purpose is safety and compliance first, appearance second — dust, spills and clutter are the hazards, not the untidiness.
– Scope covers racking aisles and walkways, loading docks, concrete floor scrubbing and degreasing, dust control on high-level surfaces, amenity blocks and staff facilities.
– Accumulated dust on high-level surfaces is a fire load and a machinery risk, and floor contaminants create slip and forklift-traction hazards, both fall within the primary duty of care under the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA) and the Work Health and Safety (General) Regulations 2022 (WA), which commenced 31 March 2022.
– Brightside schedules around production shifts, including night and weekend attendance, so cleaning doesn’t stop the line.
